Assistant Nurse Manager – ICU

Shift: 

• Night Shift
• 36 hours per week

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Nurse Manager for our ICU unit. The successful candidate will manage unit activities, monitor quality, service, and utilization standards, and supervise day-to-day shift activities to ensure the highest level of patient care.

Essential Responsibilities:

In this role, the Assistant Nurse Manager has direct reports, up to 30 staff.  This role is in charge of a shift of inpatient acute care staff - responsible for resolving schedule/staffing issues, respond to patient/family concerns, work with admit team, oversee patient care, receive hand-off from previous shift, hand-off to next shift.  Will perform patient care for break relief, training at bedside, cover shift in emergencies.

Qualifications:

• Minimum five (5) years of recent experience in ICU 
• Minimum two (2) years of experience as Lead, Charge, or Assistant Manager/Supervisor.
• Must have current California RN license.
• Basic Life Support certification required.
• ACLS certification strongly preferred.
• Must have BSN degree or higher.
• Experience in a union hospital environment preferred.

Compensation:

Salary: Competitive compensation of $180,000 - $184,000.
