Hematologist/Oncologist Opportunity – Central Florida Location – 45 minutes from downtown Orlando
Private practice opportunity to join a highly successful Cancer Center in the Orlando area. Currently there are eight Medical Oncologists and two Radiation Oncologists in the practice. There are over one hundred employees throughout their four office locations. There are six midlevel providers to assist as well. There are four partners in the practice.
The practice delivers comprehensive cancer care to a 4 county area and have literally no competition in the area. The offer full evaluation and treatment, chemotherapy and immunotherapies, Radiation, (PET|CT) scans and they have a full lab and pharmacy including an IV Pharmacy. Between the four offices, they have 75 infusion chairs. There is also a research component to the practice although this is not required of the new physician.
New physician will work four days in the clinic and one day is an administrative day. Physicians round at the hospitals on their administrative day and have the rest of the day off.
Office hours are typically 8:30 to 2:30 and rounding after until 5 PM. Physicians round at 4 local hospitals.
Once up and fully operational, each physician averages 20 patients per clinic day. Call during the week is 1-9 and 1-4 weekends as two physicians take call on the weekends. Weekend call starts at 5 PM Friday until 8 AM on Monday morning. Call is very light, and physicians very rarely visit the hospital after hours.
The practice is 50% Medicare and 40% commercial insurance. Less than 1% Medicaid. Ideally, the new physician will be team player and interested in a life/work balance.
Salaried position offering between $350k for new graduates and up to $400k for more experienced physicians.
