Nursing Department Manager - Sleep Medicine and Wound Care

Salary: $176,900 – $228,910 per year
Job Summary:
The Service Unit Department Manager RN is responsible for overseeing Sleep Medicine and Wound Care units, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective care that complies with local, state, and federal regulations. The role includes managing clinical practice standards, budgets, and staff development, while collaborating with healthcare teams to meet patient care objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage operations of large or multiple units, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Collaborate with physicians to maintain patient care and service standards.
- Act as a patient advocate, resolving care issues.
- Oversee budgets, resource allocation, and cost-reduction strategies.
- Recruit, train, and develop staff, ensuring ongoing competency.
- Manage HR, labor relations, and safety issues within the department.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of nursing leadership and supervisory experience.
- Experience in respiratory, sleep, or pulmonology settings required.
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing or health-related field (or 4 additional years of experience).
- California RN license and BLS certification required.
- Master’s degree.
- Experience managing multiple locations and complex projects preferred.
