RN Nurse Residency Program (NEW GRADS)
- Schedule: Full time – Rotating Weekends
- Salary: Competitive (more for LVN)
- $3.25- night differential $4.50- weekend differential (Fri 11:00- Sun 11:00)
- Sign on Bonus: $10K (With a 2 year commitment)
- Relocation Assistance: $5K (With a 2 year commitment)
Position Summary:
- This paid program will allow new graduates and or experienced nurses to obtain specific training in the Medical Surgical and Intensive Care Unit settings through an intensive 10-12 week training program.
- The Specialty Training Apprenticeship for Registered Nurses program is a PAID Nurse Residency
- Program featuring didactic and clinical training. It allows new graduates to transition from the
- Classroom to the acute care setting.
The program is ~ 1 year
Nurse Residency Program Break Down:
Part 1: Training ~ 10-12 weeks
- Didactic training: introduces core curriculum and hospital initiatives
- Simulation training: reinforces nursing skills learned in the didactic setting
- Hands on training: application of clinical skill set in assigned department
Part 2: Clinical Preceptorship ~9 months
- The new Nurse is paired with trained preceptor
- Monthly resident seminars focused on nursing issues key to quality outcomes
- Routine check-ins with formal 30-60-90 day reviews by Nursing leadership
- Completion of evidence-based capstone project and presentation
- Preceptor and/or Charge Nurse training available

- MICU
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing - ASN or BSN
- School MUST be accredited
- Current license in the State of Kansas as a Registered Nurse
- BLS is needed to start)
- MUST be a TRUE NEW GRAD - NO HOSPITAL EXPERIENCE
- Will accept candidates who are working in SNF/LTC no longer than 6 months
